Very interesting and informative tour which gave a good general view of Helsinki’s art gallery scene. A nice combination of well-known and a bit smaller galleries with exhibitions by both emerging and more established artists. The selected galleries also offered a wide range of art for every taste including graphics, light sculptures and conceptual art. The tour was curated in a knowledgeable and warm manner. Thank you for an inspiring afternoon!

Excellent tour! I’ve visited a couple of galleries before but I’ve never met the gallery representative or the exhibited artist before and heard the stories behind the artist and the galleries themselves. It was very nice to get a peek behind the scenes. It was also a great combination of bigger galleries and smaller ones giving you an experience in a major gallery and also in a small, intimate one. I especially loved visiting gallery Duetto with it’s lovely and lively gallery assistant! Such a lovely time there. We also got interesting information about graphic art. It’s difficult to say which was the best part of the tour but definitely amongst the top moments are the smaller galleries and the lovely coffee at the end in a historical cafe.

Great tour! Relaxed, informative, fun and professional. Perfect way of spending a Sunday afternoon. I didn’t know the galleries before the tour and now I know new places to go to and to take my friends who live outside Helsinki region. I also think it’s a nice idea to give a tour as a gift for a friend.

I loved the tour! It was a great way to learn a bit about art in Helsinki in a fun a relaxing way. We got to meet some of the artists behind some of the exhibitions, which is really cool, and every gallery felt very welcoming to us. The guide was very kind and helped us to get the most of it. I strongly recommend it, you won’t be disappointed!

Great way to spend few hours in Helsinki! The tour was informative and the guide was pleasant and very professional. There are so many galleries in the city and it was nice to talk about the exhibitions afterwards in the cafeteria with the whole group. Warmly recommended!

In short, great tour, great guide. Not being familiar with Helsinki gallery scene beforehand, I enjoyed the tour a lot. The information provided by the gallerist/artist gave deeper insight about the works in the exhibitions, the guide was friendly and knew her stuff. Art enthusiast s will definately enjoy the tour, but I warmly recommend also for those who are not so familiar with art scene in general, you’ll be positively surprised, I surely was! The tour ended with a coffee at Cafe Ekberg, great finish for an enjoyable afternoon.

An interesting and fun way to spend an afternoon in Helsinki! The tour was very informative and professional yet with an relaxing atmosphere in the group. The thoroughly selected galleries offeres something for everyone, from traditional grapichs to light sculptures and conceptual art. One of my favourite was the last stop at the concept store/ gallery called Lokal. The tour gives you a peek “behind the scenes” as you get to meet gallerists and if lucky, even the artist. Great value for money, would recommend it to anyone visiting Helsinki as well as locals.

A lovely way to spend a day in Helsinki! The tour offers an easy-going way to get to know the galleries and the people behind both the venues and the art. It’s very informative yet informal, and you don’t have to be an art enthusiast to enjoy the show. The guide was great and fun, and made the experience very enjoyable. Coffee and snack at Cafe Ekberg made a perfect ending to the tour – highly recommendable for both travelers and locals. Also a great way to meet new people.

I am not really into modern art, but for me it was very interesting experience. I think from all the galleries I have found something that I really liked and enjoyed. And also we had a great opportunity to meet with some artists in person and talk to them. I would never go to the gallery by myself before as I was always thinking that you go there only if you want to buy something, but it is not true. Now I feel more confident about going to smaller exhibitions in the galleries and meet artists before they become famous and end-up in big museums.
I really liked our guide and also that in every gallery we had local guide so the tour didn’t get boring as every person has its own way of presenting gallery and work. Where else would I learn how to distinguish poster from graphics work? And that set me also to an idea that you can actually find some affordable art pieces that could make a great present for person interested in arts.
At the end we had very nice time at Cafe Ekberg and because group was small it felt like sitting with your good friends and talking about arts and sharing your opinion – very cozy and friendly atmosphere.

Great opportunity to check out galleries if you have never been before. I felt comfortable and the art guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. At first I thought 3 hours would be too long but it turned out to be a perfect amount of time. It was great that some of the artist were present when visiting the galleries! I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting Helsinki and even as a local.

Very interesting and thought giving tour with wide scale of different art types. The very best way to spend the afternoon…with artists and art loving people. The summary with coffee and friends was very nice close to the tour. Thank you for Alexandra and Diego.

We enjoyed every bit of it! A fun, easy going and yet super informative tour which gives you a great overview on Helsinki’s art galleries. I had my 6 year old son with me and he loved it too!

Extended tour on 25.02 was a wonderful experience! The group consisted of only two people and I really appreciate that the tour still took place and felt very private and cozy. We visited four very different galleries and even an Embassy of Czech Republic. In each of the five places we met the amazing artists in person (!) and could ask any questions. I think it is such a unique opportunity which very few places may offer, but Helsinki Art Guide organizers manage to create this unforgettable experience every weekend. Thank you very much!
